Movin on up!
So this week Nugget and Boo were to begin and slow transition to their new classrooms at daycare. Boo is moving up to pre-K for the rest of the summer and Nugget was moving in to the classroom right next to Boo. Once Nugget got to his new room he was not leaving - there was no “transition”. He loved it and refused to return to his old classroom.
The reason he loves it? Not only is he right next door to Boo and can see him all day long, he gets to recess with him, he now gets to go on all field trips and he starts gymnastics at the FlipZone next week. He actually WANTED to go to school today and was telling hubs to get into the truck to leave. I thought for sure the apocalypse was coming- no way he WANTED to go to school.
The perk for me out of all of this? He dresses himself now instead of making me do it. I told him he couldn’t move up to the next class unless he started dressing himself. I haven’t had to do it once since then.
God help his new teacher, if he rules that classroom the way he tries to rule the house she’s in for a challenge.
